Within the scope of pandemic measures, the border gate which was closed for use in March 2020 is opened to truck crossings. The border gate, which started to operate will enable Turkish drivers to cross into Northern Iraq.

According to the statement made by our Erbil Customs Attaché; it was stated by the Iraqi Ministry of Health that our drivers will be tested for COVID-19 during the passes. Our drivers have to wait 4 hours to get the results of the test and it will cost $ 25.

We recommend that our colleagues who will be transporting via Iraq should make planning by taking these new developments into consideration. We would like to express our gratitude to all the authorities who took part in the opening of the Habur-İbrahim Border Gate.
