Name Change in the name of capital city of Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana’s name has been changed. The city has been named after President Nur-Sultan Nazarbayev in his honor.
Several problems have risen with transportation police in Kazakhstan due to use of the old capital name on documents.
While the old name does not cause any problems in earlier dated and ongoing agreements, it has been announced that Nur-Sultan has to be written as the capital city.
